CBC with Melitsa: How does Mom Giveaways Work

This is my final post in my cross-blog conversation with Melitsa Avila from Play-Activities.  I has been so fun getting to know her and learn more about her blog!

Now it is my turn again!  Here is what she asked me:

I’m learning a lot from you, Danielle. Can you explain more about how Momgiveaways works, what you have to offer and some tips when entering giveaways??

Mom Giveaways (MG) is a website set up to share blog giveaways, freebies and product giveaways. The most exciting place to be on MG is the giveaways section.  This section is where bloggers that are running giveaways go to advertise their giveaways.  There are bunch of new giveaways posted everyday.  If you are a blogger and running a giveaway, this is a great place to promote it.  The site gets a lot of traffic each day and there are over 700 subscribers to the newsletter.  Each and every day a newsletter goes out that contains all the most recent giveaways listed!

Now MG is not just for the bloggers running the giveaways.  Months before I started blogging I found MG.  I didn’t know much about blog contests.  I wasn’t quite sure what MG was!  So I left a comment under the announcement for the blog contest.  Then I received an email telling me that you don’t enter the giveaways on the MG site, you must go to a different site.  So to be clear, MG is a place you can find giveaways to enter! If you are a Sweeper (one who enters giveaways) you will keep busy here!

As far as tips to enter giveaways, the most important thing is to read the rules!  I have said this several times in the posts that I have written!  It is a waste of your time to even enter if you don’t read the rules.  For blog contests there are ways that you can increase your chances of winning if you read the rules.  If you don’t read the rules you may be disqualified all together!  I know that this has happened to me.  So from experience, read those rules.  One other tip that I would give is to enter often.  If you enter often the odds are in your favor to win.
