Disney For Free

Can it be, Disney for free?  This year Walt Disney is giving you a gift on your birthday (sorry if your birthday has already passed).  Disney wants you to have a magical birthday by spending it at one of their theme parks.  That means fireworks, princesses and fairy tales on your birthday. Enjoy being a kid again, see your favorite Disney characters  or let your child have the best present they could ever imagine! Not only can you sign yourself up for free admission for your birthday but you can sign up everyone in your household  to get into your choice of Disney parks free on their birthdays!

Here is how you do it!

First you need to go to the website and register your birthday as well as anyone else in your household!  You will need to print off the confirmation message you receive after registering your birthday. Make sure you keep this in a safe place to be used later! Two weeks before your birthday you will receive a message reminding you to go enjoy your day at a Disney park.

On your birthday

When it is your birthday take a photo id and either the confirmation message or the reminder message to the gate of the Disney park that you will be visiting.  There you will be admitted and you can enjoy the day there.   If you have multiple family members this could be a great experience to have on everyone’s birthday this year!

If you have season passes or a Multi-Day ticket to the Disney parks, you can go to the Will Call window and you will be able to choose a special gift instead!  These gifts include:

• A birthday FASTPASS exchange card for a certain number of attractions for the theme park you are visiting.
• A birthday fun card in an amount equal to the price of a 1-day ticket to the park for you to use for certain purchases at the park including merchandise, recreation or tour experiences.
• A Magic Your Way 1-Day ticket you can use anytime until your next birthday.

A few questions answered

You will not need to do this for children age three and under because they get in for free.  This offer is open to anyone. It doesn’t matter what state or country you live in. You can register all the way up until December 31,2009.  If you would like you can upgrade your ticket when you get to the park of your choice.

I hope if you are close to any of the Disney parks on your birthday you will take advantage of this gift from the Walt Disney Company.  As for me I will be in California on my birthday in July but I will be at a family reunion not at Disneyland!  So we will hopefully be celebrating at least one of our children’s birthdays at Disneyland this year!
