Giveaway Schedule

I am a list person.  You know one of those people that has to have a list for everything.  I need a list for where I am going when I run errands and what I am buying.  Then I need a list for what I need to get done before I leave.  My husband doesn’t always like my lists but it keeps me on track and most importantly I don’t forget things (not as much anyway).  I get easily distracted and when I do I forget.  This is one of the reasons I constantly have a list.

How can this help you in entering giveaways?

Simple.  On my list of things to-do everyday is “enter online sweepstakes”.  I make the time to enter online sweepstakes every day.  When I turn on my computer one of the first things I do is enter sweepstakes.  Now don’t think I am successful everyday but the key is to schedule a time each day to enter sweepstakes.  You may only have fifteen minutes, so enter for fifteen minutes.  You might only be able to spend the time when you are watching television at night.  If that works for you then do it.  All it takes is making a bit of an effort to schedule it in.

How about mail-in sweepstakes?

Mail-in sweepstakes is just the same.  I spend a few nights a week entering mail-in sweepstakes.  I do this when I am catching up on all the television shows or movies I have recorded on my DVR.  This has been tough for me because of this internship.  I have not had that extra time. Once again if you are going to enter mail-in giveaways you need to schedule it!

What about running blogging giveaways?

Blog contests can be so beneficial to a blogger.  I covered some of these benefits in a post several weeks ago! Blog giveaways take some effort to plan, run and wrap up.  A schedule is a perfect solution for you to not get overwhelmed with too many giveaways going at the same time and too much to handle.  I would suggest that you take the calendar and plan out when you will be starting a new giveaway and when it will end. Then decide when the next one is going to start. Are they going to overlap?  I understand that sometimes a company will approach you to run a giveaway but you have every right to tell them when you will be available to run your next giveaway.  Take control of your schedule!

Remember in all of this scheduling things doesn’t always work out the way you plan it!  That is okay I definitely do not cross everything off my list everyday.  Actually I consistently have a few items on my to-do list carried over to the next day.  That is okay, but if you are planning when you will do your entering or when you will run your next giveaway, you will accomplish more!
