Roboform: The Secret Weapon of Sweepers

Roboform is software that you download from the internet.  It is a password manager and form filler.  If you have entered online sweepstakes you know that there are so many forms to fill out.  If you are filling them out one by one you will soon suffer sweepstakes burn out!  I did this for many months in the very beginning.  I soon realized that Google had a fill-in feature called AutoFill on their toolbar.  I used this for a while.  Then after hearing so much about Roboform on a forum I decided to try it! I will never go back!

Roboform Features

Roboform has the ability to fill-in forms that come up on websites.  With one click of the mouse the form is complete filled in from your identity profile.  An identity profile is the information you preset into the Roboform software.  This will include your full name, address, all your phone numbers and it will even include your social security number and credit card number if you choose. This software is totally encrypted so no worries about security issues.

Roboform also saves passwords to any website you choose.  They are called passcards.  When you fill-in your username and password on any given account you will be prompted by Roboform to create a new passcard.  You can include additional information as well. These will be your personalized custom fields.  These custom fields are important when entering online sweepstakes.  Often you will be asked to answer a question.  You can customize a field to fill-in the answer to the question.  This makes life so much easier. You will save so much time entering these sweepstakes each day. Plus no more remembering usernames and passwords.

Roboform logins are wonderful!  A login is when you pull up a passcard and click on it.  The login will open a new tab or browser window, take you to the login screen, fill-in the username and password, then it will click enter for you.  So with one click of your mouse you are completely logged into to that account or website!  How cool is that!

Will you use it?

I use my Roboform Pro every single day!  I have multiple email accounts and all my information is stored in Roboform.  I don’t have to remember a darn thing!  Have you ever gone to a forum once and set up a username and password?  Then a year or two later gone back to that forum and you didn’t even remember you had set up an account? I have done this but I discovered I had created a passcard!  I was able to sign right in!

Roboform is Free

Roboform has a free version that allows you to have 10 passcards after the first 30 days.  There are other restrictions on the free version including:

• You can only have two identities.
• Within the identities you are limited to only three credit cards and addresses.
• You are limited to the personalized custom fields in each identities.
• You can not have multiple users at all.

Roboform Pro

Roboform Pro is their paid version.  There is a one-time fee of $29.95 for a Roboform license.  It has been well worth the money for me just because of the multiple passcards I have! I have somewhere between 300-400 passcards in my software.  Those are usernames and passwords that I don’t have to remember! I would try the free version before paying for the Roboform Pro so that you can see whether you like it.

Security

Now for security sake when you download Roboform, the first time you open it you will set up a master password.  You will have to enter this password the first time you try to login into a website with a passcard.  On other occasions you will have to enter the master password if you have changed users or when your computer goes into sleep mode.  A master password is not necessary but I recommend it.
