Top 10 Reasons I Love Entering Giveaways

As my final post of my internship (yes it has been 10 weeks)  here on Mom Giveaways I thought I would share with you the reasons I love entering giveaways.

1. First of all I love feeling productive. Whenever I am sitting and watching television at night I can’t just watch.  I have to be doing something.  I am a big multi-tasker.  So at night when I watch a show I don’t have to feel guilty because I am entering sweepstakes!
2. I love the dream! Giveaways allow me to dream.  I can dream of places I can go, of things my children can experience and of prizes that will enhance my life and the lives of my family.
3. The thrill of winning or even just the chance to win. There is nothing (okay may some things) more exciting that receiving a notice saying “You Have Won” or “Congratulations!”.  It is so much fun!
4. Experiencing trips that you could never recreate! I have not actually been on a trip, yet.  I have heard from other sweepers that you couldn’t pay for what they experience.  The sponsors go above and beyond providing things money can’t buy.  The experience of having the best room and amenities that are never offered.  Meeting people you have always wanted to.  Going to a baseball game and meeting all the players.  The list goes on and on.  Giveaway trips can be trips of a Lifetime!!
5. Enjoying the people. I have loved meeting people that enjoy the hobby as much as me.  The Utah Ups Chaser is a fabulous group and I am glad to know them.  I get excited every time I go to our monthly club meeting.  They have experienced things I haven’t and inspire me.  If you don’t know already, people that do not participate in this hobby look at you strange when you say you love to enter sweepstakes.  When you find someone that enters as well it is like you have found a kindred spirit!
6. Sharing your wins with others. This is such a blessing.  There are those prizes that you will not want or need.  You can only handle so many flat screen televisions in your home.  This allows you to give!  Many sweepers have a wins closet.  The closet contains prizes they don’t want and are waiting for the right time to share them with others.
7. Going to the mailbox, hearing the phone ring or the doorbell chime. I get excited for each one of these things because it could be a win!! Some may think it is wishful thinking but there have been times it is just that, a win!
8. The positive feelings I get. I know this sounds silly but there are times when I feel a prize coming.  This is exciting when I do because every time I pick up the phone I feel good.  When I check my email I am excited!  When I go to the mailbox I am anticipating what is inside.  Now you may think that I get disappointed when I don’t find a prize notice but I don’t!  That is the great thing.  I don’t get upset because I know it is still coming.  This makes my days go so well.  If I weren’t entering giveaways I would never experience this!
9. Prizes I would never have received. I would never have bought things that I have won.  Someday I plan on winning a HDTV large flat screen t.v.  This is something I would NEVER in my life buy myself.  I am very frugal and my t.v.’s work just fine and I couldn’t ever justify a purchase like this.  I WILL win it someday.  These prizes become priceless.
10. It is just plain fun! It is fun to win.  It is fun to dream of winning.  It is fun to expect a winning prize.  It is fun to know people that love to win.  There is an energy of enthusiasm that surrounds this hobby.  I don’t think there is anything quite like it!

You can see that this is a passion of mine.  I have truly enjoyed sharing my knowledge with you about giveaways.  If you haven’t tried entering, then do it now!  You never know what will happen when you do!
